We’re not just a boxing academy. Agoge Academy is a movement of transformation, empowering individuals to rise above life’s challenges and unlock their true potential. From vulnerable children in challenging communities to aspiring leaders and athletes, we are a beacon of hope, strength, and resilience.

Through our dynamic programs—including boxing, fitness, dance, muay Thai , and leadership training—we nurture confidence, discipline, and a sense of purpose. Our partnership with Total Fit brings a holistic approach to well-being, ensuring that our participants grow physically, mentally, and emotionally.

Every punch thrown, every step danced, and every goal scored is a testament to the power of belief. Inspired by the ancient Spartan “Agoge” system, which fostered discipline and resilience, we are committed to creating confident, empowered individuals who shape stronger communities.

With over three decades in boxing and two decades as a coach, Nuwan Dananjaya has made a lasting impact on Sri Lanka’s boxing landscape. A five-time national champion and two-time National Colorsmen, Nuwan’s success as an athlete is mirrored by his coaching achievements. He has represented Sri Lanka on the international stage, winning bronze and silver medals, and holds a Diploma in Boxing from the Indian Federation of Boxing. As an International Boxing Association Star Coach since 2014, Nuwan has continually refined his expertise.

Since 2024, Nuwan has proudly served as the Head Coach of the Union Boxing Federation Sri Lanka, further solidifying his leadership in the sport. In addition, he is a trainer at TotalFit , where he provides fitness and leadership training to individuals from various countries, demonstrating his ability to inspire and lead globally.

As the first official international school boxing coach in Sri Lanka, Nuwan has trained over 500 students, always striving to uplift communities through the discipline of boxing and leadership. His passion is to equip individuals with the tools they need to transform their lives and reach their fullest potential, both inside the ring and in life.
